I have to spend the whole night at the Murudeshwar railway station as there was no available train till 12 at night for Mangluru. Finally I will be arriving at Mangalore where I intended to go initially. It took me a week to reach from Delhi to Mangalore and what an adventurous journey it has been. I have been able to explore various amazing places during my journey. I boarded the train for Mangluru at 6:30 AM and will be arriving very soon to Mulki where I have to deboard to reach my Volunteer Yatra host. I never thought I would be able to travel to so many places and complete my journey the way I did. It feels really good and satisfying. I reached the Mulki station at around 8:15 in the morning. I took the local bus from Mulki and reached the host farm which is in the inner part of Karnataka. This is my first time visiting the inner part of the country. We have people from different parts of the world at the volunteer farm. One person’s name is Josh, he is from America living in Spain. Another person’s name is Alan. He is from France and is coming along with his partner Laia. Another volunteer name is Yogesh who is from Pune. Mayur is our host who has been there for 5 months and is managing everything. We are in total 6 volunteers at the farm. We all had our lunch and it was a wonderful simple food of rice and dal. After lunch I visited the reading area and felt sleepy as I have not slept in a while. I took a nap and had a good sleep after a long time. I slept for around 2-3 hours and felt refreshed. There are good books out there in the library. I have started reading one of the books out there. This is the experience I was looking for when I started out my travel journey. At around 7:30 we had our dinner. It’s a Sunday today and it was an amazing end to our weekend. We all are commenting really well and it is an amazing beginning to the volunteership.
